Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Dandle, a service that creates personalized children's picture books. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Dandle.

You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child featured in a book. You confirm you have the right to provide the child's name, details, and likeness, and that you consent on the child's behalf.

Keep your login details secure and don't share your account. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

You keep ownership of the photos and details you provide. You grant Dandle a limited licence to use them solely to generate, preview, print, and deliver your book. Uploaded reference photos are deleted after the character sheet is generated, as described in our Privacy Policy. Don't upload content you don't have the rights to, or anything unlawful, harmful, or that infringes others' rights.

Stories and illustrations are generated by AI from the inputs you provide and will vary each time. They're fictional and for enjoyment; likenesses are approximate, not exact reproductions. You can preview every page and regenerate before you order.

Prices are shown at checkout and payment is processed by Stripe. Each order is a 12-page hardcover, printed and shipped by our print partner. Placing an order authorizes us to produce and fulfil it.

Because each book is personalized and printed on demand, orders enter production shortly after payment and generally can't be changed or cancelled once submitted for printing. If your book arrives damaged or defective, contact us and we'll make it right.

Use Dandle only for lawful, personal purposes. Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service, and don't use it to create content that is harmful or exploits minors.

Dandle and its software, designs, and branding belong to us. When your order is complete, you may use the finished book for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Dandle is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or incidental losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order in question.

We may update these terms or the service over time. Material changes take effect when we post the updated terms here, with a new “last updated” date.
